Nino Firetto / Presenter

I started my career in the clubs as a Disc Jockey in 1973. I was 15 years old and illegally (under age) working every night in the discos around Bristol.  My radio career got away a few years later in 1978 at UBN, a radio station set up to entertain the workers in the biscuit factories up and down the country. It was there that I was taught how to string a sentence together and how to research, produce and edit.  Many well known DJ’s used UBN at the start of their careers as a stepping stone to bigger stations. I also attended the National Broadcasting School in Greek Street, London before landing my first breakfast/morning show at Radio West.

Many years and radio stations later I can still be heard on music podcasts and on many radio stations

with my syndicated shows.
