After a 32 year career as a primary school teacher Gill began radio presenting in Hospital Radio when she  retired. She was also one of the Breakfast Show presenters on her local community radio station and now syndicates the Retro Hits and Headlines Show.
The show takes you on a journey back to a specific month and year through the music in the UK Official Singles Chart and the events of the time. The show also has The Quiz. This is linked to something in the show to get you thinking whilst you listen.
