Chris Meineck / Presenter

Growing up on the edge of The New Forest on the South coast of England, there was a radio studio in Chris’s childhood home as his dad had always had a passion for radio since being inspired by his hero, Kenny Everett, in the 1970s, which led him to a nightly show on a station in Middlesex between 1988-1991. Following in his dad’s footsteps, after being the DJ at his school disco aged 11 and frequently entertaining his parents with live radio shows being transmitted all the way from the spare bedroom down to the kitchen, Chris first hit the airwaves of the outside world aged 15, presenting a weekly show on his local community station, recorded at his home studio. However since 2020 he has expanded to now presenting his additional weekly show, Secret 70s. Aside from music and radio, Chris’s other big passion is theatre, and he is a very active member of three amateur dramatics groups, in which he has performed in over 20 plays, pantomimes and musicals.
